TR-069 upgrade guide for HALNy devices
This article provides a step-by-step guide to upgrading the software on your HALNy device using the TR-069 (CWMP) protocol, with a focus on example configurations in GenieACS.
1. Configure TR-069(CWMP) on your HALNy device
Log in using your administrative credentials.
Navigate to CWMP settings – in the main menu, locate and click on “Internet” then “CWMP” settings.
Set “State” to “Enable”.
Enter the ACS server details.
Save the settings.
2. Upload the software image to the ACS server
Log in to the ACS.
Navigate to Admin -> Files.
Click new to upload a new firmware file.
Fill in the details – only type and file are obligatory options.
Type: Select Firmware Upgrade Image.
OUI: (Optional) Enter the ONT’s OUI (e.g., 5ADBA2).
Product Class: (Optional) Enter Halny model-name (e.g. HL-4G2).
Version: (Optional) Enter the firmware version (e.g. V4.0.10).
Click Browse and select the firmware file.
Click Save to upload the file.
3. Schedule firmware upgrade
Go to devices and locate your ONT.
Click push file and select the new firmware file.
Confirm the action and wait for the upgrade to begin.
