ONT HALNy Upgrade on ZYXEL IES4204

Upgrade procedure on ZYXEL IES4204

1. Prepare FTP server and put firmware files on it. Make sure FTP Server is available from OLT

2. Turn on ont-fw-upgrade function

MSC1240QA(config)# xpon ont-fw-upgrade model HL-1GE active on

3. Set target firmware version

MSC1240QA(config)# xpon ont-fw-upgrade model HL-1GE fw-id V2.0.29

4. Set credentials access to FTP server and name (can not be longer than 32 letters) of firmware file

MSC1240QA(config)# xpon ont-fw-upgrade fwimg 1 fw-id V2.0.29 ftp 172.17.61.108 username user password FTPpass file G_ONU_HL-1GE_V2-0-29.bin

5. Set upgrade schedule

MSC1240QA(config)# xpon ont-fw-upgrade schedule start 01:00 end 04:00

6. Turn on firmware upgrade according to schedule for ONT

MSC1240QA(config-interface-xont-2-1-7)# ont-fw-upgrade mode schedule

7. Check upgrade status

MSC1240QA# show xpon ont-fw-upgrade schedule status 2
