Channel planning

Channel Planning is a feature that allows users to suggest to the EasyMesh function that it should switch to a different Wi-Fi channel if it’s physically possible. You can suggest channels for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Please note that for 5 GHz, only UNII-1 channels (36, 40, 44, 48) are available for use with EasyMesh.

Examples of use:
11 (suggestion to use 11 Wi-Fi 2,4Ghz channel),
48 (suggestion to use 48 Wi-Fi 5Ghz channel)

Channel Planning R2

The Channel Planning R2 feature allows users to observe how the EasyMesh function operates. First, select the frequency band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz), then use “Trigger Channel Planning R2” to activate the EasyMesh algorithm, which will select the optimal channel. In the options below, you can view the Wi-Fi channel scan results, while the “Channel Planning Score” provides the internal EasyMesh rating for each channel.

Channel Statistics

The Channel Statistics section enables users to check the utilization of channels on a specific WAN. WAN adress is a AL-MAC (Virtual EasyMesh interface MAC). Trigger a channel scan and wait a few seconds. After the scan is complete, click “Channel Scan Result” to view the statistics of each channel.
