HALNy Security Advisories provide information about confirmed security vulnerabilities affecting HALNy products, including affected products and firmware versions, severity, and the firmware version containing the security fix.

Where a security update is available, the advisory identifies the recommended fixed firmware version and indicates where the update can be obtained.

HALNy Ethernet Routers

Firmware for HALNy Ethernet Routers is available through the HALNy Knowledge Base. The page provides current firmware versions, documentation and checksums. Security fixes, where applicable, are included in the relevant firmware releases.

Ethernet Routers are primarily supplied to operators, but they may also be used and managed directly by end users. Users managing their own device should verify the available firmware and install the recommended version where appropriate.

HALNy GPON and XGS-PON ONTs

HALNy ONTs are supplied to telecommunications operators and are intended to operate as part of an operator-managed access network. The ONT must be provisioned and managed together with the operator’s OLT infrastructure.

Firmware updates for GPON and XGS-PON ONTs are distributed to authorised customers through the FIBRAIN Helpdesk. The operator is responsible for selecting, testing and deploying the appropriate firmware version within its network.

End users whose HALNy ONT was supplied or installed by an Internet Service Provider should contact their operator regarding firmware availability and security-update deployment.
