Concept

This function allows you to change the operating mode in the HALNY ONT equipped with the switch-mode button without manual configuration or XML file.

Modes of the switch-mode button

In the default software the ONT has 5 states:
0 – It is a default mode. In this mode the device work as an ONT. This is the point restores to the default settings.
1 – The device work as an ONT with the prefix “HALN” in GPON serial number.
2 – The device work as an ethernet router.
3 – The device work as an EasyMesh Agent.
4 – Disable all LEDs except POWER LED.

Changing the config with switch-mode slider

To change the operation mode of the ONT with a switch-mode slider follow these points:

  1. Assure that the switch-mode slider is enabled. You can check it on the web page of the device.
  2. Press the WPS button (do not release it).
  3. Choose the operation mode by the switch-mode slider. If You choose mode 4th the ONT will apply the last applied mode (0-3) and disable the LEDs.
  4. Release the WPS button.
  5. ONT will reboot with the selected config.

Remember if You use restore to defaults the applied slider position will back to position 0.

Web management

The web page of the ONT allows of check the current and applied of the slider position. Also, You can disable or enable the switch-mode slider functionality.

To disable the switch-mode slider You have to click on the “No” checkbox and save the configuration.

The TR-069 allows of of check the current and applied of the slider position. Also, You can disable or enable the switch-mode slider functionality.

To disable the switch-mode slider via TR-069 You have to change the parameter “X_HALNY_SliderButtonEnable” on the “No” and commit the configuration.
