Concept

This function allows to change the operating mode in the HALNY ONT equipped with the switch-mode button without manual configuration or XML file.

Modes of the switch-mode button

In the default software the ONT has 5 states:
0 – Switch-mode is disabled.
1 – The device works as an ONT with the GPON’s serial number prefix “HALN”.
2 – Ethernet router function.
3 – The device works as EasyMesh Agent.
4 – Disable all LEDs except ‘POWER’ LED.

Changing the config with switch-mode slider

To switch the operation mode of the ONT, simply use the switch-mode slider by following these steps:

1. Assure that the switch-mode slider is enabled. It can be checked on the web page.
2. Hold the WPS button.
3. Choose the operation mode using slider. After choosing mode 4, the ONT will only disable LEDs.
4. Release the WPS button.
5. ONT will reboot and start with the selected config.

After restore to defaults the applied slider config will back to config assigned to position 0.

The web page allows to check the current and applied slider position.

Enable/Disable Switch functionality

The switch-mode slider functionality can be enabled or disabled using the radio button. To disable it, select “No“.

The TR-069 allows to check the current and applied slider position. Also, switch-mode slider functionality can be disabled or enabled.

To disable the switch-mode slider via TR-069, the value of parameter ‘X_HALNY_SliderButtonEnable’ must be set to “false” and the configuration committed.

XML Provisioning

To enable/disable the switch-mode slider via an XML file, the ‘ENABLE_SLIDER_BUTTON’ node needs to be used with value ‘YES’ or ‘NO’
